Kuih Bahulu

Yaay! My kuih bahulu mould arrived today! I'm going to go and make myself some yummy kuih bahulu a la Rasa Malaysia, although I'm nowhere near half the chef Bee is! Watch this space for photos!
(Edited 8:14pm) First batch of kuih bahulu photos! When I bake, normally I fill up cupcake casings and baking moulds with a measuring jug (see the third photo). With this mould though, it was tinyyyy so I had to fill it with a teaspoon...which near enough sent me to sleep!
On the left, the kuih bahulu mould. On the right, a mould to make baked doughnuts! (it's unrelated to this post in that I'm not making baked doughnuts at the moment...but I will do soon!)

My first batch of kuih bahulu! Not the prettiest things I've made but...
...I can always try again! This is my second batch, filled to just over 3/4 of the way.
You can't tell from the photo but they aren't nearly as grotesquely puffed up as the first batch. In this one, the individual kuih aren't baking into one another.

Oh dear they baked into one another again...still, wasn't as bad as the first batch!
They came out looking quite nice!

And yes, I am cooling my kuih on my grill pan. Couldn't be bothered to spend unnecessary money on a 'specialised' wire rack to cool my baked goods!
